Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwiches

"With the help of your trusty slow cooker, you can enjoy tangy pulled pork sandwiches with just 30 minutes of hands-on time. Cooking the pork low and slow will allow it to easily fall off the bone, and you'll be able to shred it using two forks."  Comment from Southern Living

One of my favorite sandwiches is pulled pork.  Preparing meals in the crock pot is of great interest to me and my thinking is that it would be an excellent choice for a buffet meal where everyone makes their own sandwich and the pork stays warm.  I always use the slow cooker for buffet meals and everyone loves it.  Look forward to trying this recipe.

I've been meaning to roast garlic to see what all the talk is about.  For a while I have been hearing about how great it is, but I never got around to giving it a try.  I hope to try it soon and I will let you all know what I think.

Kentucky Butter Cake

"Similar to pound cake, Kentucky butter cake has a dense crumb and decadent but simple flavor, making it a crowd-pleasing dessert for all ages. It's known for its unique glazing method, in which the cake is poked and soaked with a butter-sugar syrup, filling it with moisture and intensifying its buttery flavor."  Comment from Southern Living

This cake reminds me of my favorite pound cake and I love all the ingredients.  Kentucky Butter Cake looks like a winner.
