Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

  • 1/3 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chopped bottled roasted red bell peppers, rinsed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • garlic clove, minced
  • (15 1/2-ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained


  • 1. Place all ingredients in a food processor; process until smooth.

Bet this would be good with some hot red pepper flakes too!

This is my favorite hummus!

I still have not tried making the pita chips . . . we have been very bad about food lately, the experiments have been desserts with eggroll and wonton wraps.
